Power Supply Mode and Standard Wiring
On-site power: Disable power output & resistance, parallel connection (no polarity). Series 250Ω resistor for communication faults.
For internal power: Disconnect site power, enable 24V+250Ω mode, wire red-positive black-negative.4-wire transmitters: Keep site power, parallel to current output; add 250Ω if loop resistance is inadequate.
HART Instrument and Output Mode Settings
Unless otherwise specified, default HART instrument address = 0 for valid 4-20mA analog output. Use voltage mode for transmitters and 4-20mA current mode for valve positioners. Do not parallel 250Ω output directly across power terminals to avoid device damage.
Rapid Troubleshooting for Communication Failures
Instrument not found
Check the loop resistance, add a 250Ω resistor, and confirm that the instrument address is 0
Unstable communication
Avoid interference from power lines & inverters · Test with communicator’s independent power supply
Failed to drive the device
Verify the voltage/current mode, and check the wiring polarity and connection contact status
Safety Operation Precautions
Power-off Operation: Physically disconnect site power before using internal power supply; merely switching off power is prohibited.
Explosion-proof Compliance: Only use intrinsically safe equipment in Hazardous Zone 1. Live wiring and unauthorized operations are forbidden.
Polarity Specification: Strictly follow red-positive, black-negative wiring. Reverse connection may damage instruments and communicator.
